Hypoxia fate mapping identifies cycling cardiomyocytes in the adult heart

These results indicate that hypoxia signalling is an important hallmark of cycling cardiomyocytes, and suggest that hypoxia fate mapping can be a powerful tool for identifying cycling cells in adult mammals.
